Fetti Overview

Story

As a college student at the University of Southern California, partying is big part of our school culture. It’s a great way to meet new people and engage with your community. However, the discovery process for these night time events was far from easy so I created Fetti with my friends to fix that issue.

Goals

We wanted to created a centralized and cohesive way to discover and compare USC night life events. Directly increasing the party attendance of female and racially diverse students across campus was also a huge priority. A snippet of our impact with Fetti is display at the bottom of this showcase.

Process

Every design project’s process differs, but the my framework for the creation of Fetti was as follows: Research, Ideation, Building, Testing and Shipping

I directly lead all things design including, but not limited to: UX Design, Visual Design, Interaction Design and Content Design

Timeline

80 Days (Summer 2019)

Our team ideated, created, and shipped the Fetti mobile app during the Summer of my 2019 Apple UX Design internship.

Tool-Kit

Sketch, Figma, Proton, Adobe CC, Zeplin, Sublime Text, X Code

In addition to my usual tool kit of design tools, Fetti required me to use my engineering chops as to meet harsh project deadlines.

Project Reflection

The Fetti team and myself are extremely happy with the reception of the product and we’re excited to work on the project with each new day. Fetti’s been able to connect students to life long memories, friends, and experiences. We’re impacting culture and having a darn good time while doing it.

Next Steps

The current version of Fetti isn’t built for scale as we needed to get to the USC market as quickly as possible, but I’m currently designing an experience that would allow other colleges across the country to be able to discovery local parties with Fetti.
